Greaseweazle V4.1 – USB Floppy Adapter for Emulators & Disk Imaging
Item number VAR8204
Regular USB floppy drives can only read modern PC-formatted floppy disks and are not capable of handling older floppy disk formats used in classic home computers.
The Greaseweazle V4.1 is a specialized USB adapter that can read and write floppy disks with bit-precision at the flux level. This makes it ideal for archiving, data recovery, and emulator-compatible conversion of old floppy disks.
The adapter is compatible with Atari ST, Apple II, Amiga, Commodore 64 (C64), and MS-DOS floppy disk formats.
✅ Advantages:
Flux-level access: Bit-precise analysis, even in the presence of copy protection or errors.
Compatible with common floppy disk formats.
Supports many image formats: ADF, IMG, SCP, HFE, and others.
For 3.5" and 5.25" Shugart-compatible floppy drives
Compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux
Open-source project (firmware & tools available for free)
